When it comes to protecting your family from harm, there are all kinds of things you can do to keep them safe. One thing you might not think about is the water you’re drinking. Most people drink water from the tap, or they retrieve water through the door in their refrigerator. It all comes from the basic, municipal water supply, and they don’t think much of it. Have you ever wondered what’s really in that water? There are ways you can check for violations and find out if your water company is getting into trouble for the cleanliness and safety of the water they’re selling to you.

Even if they aren’t violating any laws or regulations, that doesn’t mean that the water is completely clean. It just means that drinking it won’t make you sick from something toxic in it. Over time, particles in the water can still build up in your system and make you sick. This can happen with any drinking water if it has minerals and other things in it that your body isn’t used to and doesn’t really need. Even water can be dangerous and too much of a good thing can hurt you.

You can test your water at home and find out what kinds of things are in it. Once you do that, you may want to consider either using bottled water for drinking or getting a filter to put on your faucet so the water that comes out of it will be cleaner. Depending on what’s in your water, there are different kinds of filters available that can take out specific things. Some filters handle more contaminants than others, so it’s important that you know what you’re getting when you buy a water filter. There are also whole-house filters, which can be more expensive for you, but keep you healthier in the long run.
