Health And Pollution.

One of the biggest problems facing mankind today is the degeneration of the environment. In our quest to make more money and be materially more successful we as human beings are taking all trouble to see that we are destroying the environment. Forests are being destroyed, wild life and flora and fauna is being displaced and eventually we are claiming that we are making rapid strides in our development activities.
What is development when it is at the cost of our environment and our planet earth? Remember that all us have a duty towards our environment and it is not only the job of government and authorities to protect the environment. We as responsible citizens have duties to performing in giving back this planet to our grandchildren in the same way as we borrowed it from our grandparents. If we don’t do it we will be very badly failing in our duties.

Individually we can do lot of things to protect and make the environment cleaner and greener. All of us should take a vow to plant at least two new trees every years. If all of us do it that itself will be a great job and will help us make the environment more pure and filled with more oxygen. Protecting our wildlife and forests is very important. It would be very sad and tragic if our grandchildren were to know about tigers, lions, zebras and other wild animals only through pictures and films. We can still prevent it from happening if we take steps immediately to avoid deforestation and help growth of forest and wildlife.

Saving our ground water and protecting our rivers from pollution is also a big job that we should undertake. Rivers are the lifelines for any country and polluting it is like polluting our own home and our food and water. Factories which pollute the atmosphere and rivers should be shut down without a second chance.
